The RVH Foundation launched our #EQUIPRVH project in 2023; an ongoing project that raises funds to purchase essential capital equipment required by our medical team at RVH.
Since the launch of #EQUIPRVH in 2023, thanks to our Catch the Ace lottery, signature events, 3rd party events and general fundraising programs, the RVH Foundation has funded over $1M of capital equipment utilized by various departments in the hospital with an additional $1M on the capital list for 2024/25.
Annually, the departments within the Renfrew Victoria Hospital detail their capital equipment requirements that includes replacing equipment that is end of life, upgrading to new models or requesting new equipment that is needed for a specific purpose by that department. The list is then prioritized by the RVH Finance team, Senior Management and the RVH Board of Directors to determine what items will be purchased and a request is made to the RVH Foundation Board of Directors to purchase. Funds raised in our #EQUIPRVH project are then transferred to pay for the prioritized equipment.
A complete Equipment listing for equipment purchased over our last fiscal year starting in April of 2023 and ending March of 2024 will be posted in the next couple of weeks. We are very proud of what we have accomplished and the vital equipment that we have purchased over the past year.
